Short version: the deep links you paste into the tool are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to any server operated by us. Browsing this site does, however, involve third-party services (Google Fonts, Google AdSense, jsDelivr, Web3Forms) that have their own privacy practices, listed below. For terms of use, including the license under which generated output is released, see the terms of use page.
1. Who runs this site
Deep Link Tester is operated by an independent European mobile developer, in their personal capacity. The site is a free utility, not a registered company. For all privacy questions, use the contact form with the topic "Privacy / data question."
2. What we collect on this site
We, the operators of this site, do not run any analytics, tracking pixels, fingerprinting scripts, or first-party cookies of our own. We do not maintain a database of users, links tested, IP addresses, or session data. Specifically:
- The deep links you paste into the tool stay in your browser. They are used to generate a clickable link, a QR code, and a parsed-component view, all client-side. They are not transmitted to our servers (we don't have any).
- Recent links history is stored in your browser's
localStorage. It never leaves the device. You can clear it at any time using the "Clear all" button, or by clearing site data in your browser settings. - The contact form does collect what you type into it (name, email if provided, message). That submission is delivered to the maintainer via Web3Forms; see section 4.
3. Cookies
This site itself sets no cookies. However, third-party services loaded on this site (notably Google AdSense) may set cookies on your device. Where required by law (e.g. EU/UK visitors under GDPR/ePrivacy), AdSense displays its own consent prompt before placing non-essential cookies. You can manage AdSense personalization settings at any time at adssettings.google.com.
4. Third-party services
Loading any page on this site involves requests to the following third parties. Each receives some technical information (typically: your IP address, browser User-Agent, and the URL of the page you're loading) by virtue of how the web works. We don't control what they do with it beyond not sending them anything we don't have to.
Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com)
Used to deliver the typefaces (Bricolage Grotesque, DM Sans, JetBrains Mono). Google receives your IP address when fonts are fetched. Google's documentation states that Google Fonts logs are kept for limited periods and not used for advertising. See Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net)
Used to deliver the open-source qrcode JavaScript library that generates QR codes client-side. jsDelivr is a public CDN. See their privacy policy.
Google AdSense (pagead2.googlesyndication.com et al.)
Used to display advertisements on this site. AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, including personalized ads where you have consented. Google may use this data consistent with their advertising privacy practices. For full details:
You can opt out of personalized advertising entirely at the link above. EU/UK/EEA visitors will see a Google-served consent prompt before non-essential cookies are placed.
Web3Forms (api.web3forms.com)
Used only when you submit the contact form. Your submission (name, email if provided, message) is forwarded to the maintainer via Web3Forms' API. Web3Forms keeps a copy of submissions in their system for delivery purposes; see their privacy policy for retention details. If you don't submit the form, no data is sent to Web3Forms.
5. Your rights under GDPR (EU/EEA/UK visitors)
You have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In practice we hold very little: nothing about you unless you've used the contact form, in which case we hold the message you sent and any contact details you provided. To exercise any of these rights, send a request via the contact form with the topic "Privacy / data question". We aim to respond within 30 days as required by GDPR Article 12.
For data held by the third parties above, please contact those providers directly using the links provided. They are independent data controllers for the data they collect.
6. Children
This site is a developer tool aimed at adults working professionally on mobile applications. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through the contact form, please let us know and we'll delete it.
7. Data retention
Recent-links history in your browser persists until you clear it. Contact-form submissions are retained in the maintainer's email indefinitely unless you request deletion. Third-party retention periods are set by those third parties.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the Last updated date below will change. Substantive changes (new third parties, new categories of data processing) will be flagged on the home page banner for a reasonable period.
